Your AMS's own workflows, or Shlix IBS
Most agency management systems include workflow features: activities, suspense dates, task assignment and certificate production. Shlix IBS does not replace them. This page shows where each one starts and stops.
Side by side.
| Topic | AMS workflows | Shlix IBS |
|---|---|---|
| Where it starts | When someone creates an activity or opens a record. | When the email arrives in the shared service inbox. |
| Reading the inbox | A person reads each email and decides what it is. | Every email is read and recognized; personal mail is dropped. |
| Finding the customer | A person searches. | Matched by policy number, sender or name, with the method recorded. |
| Certificates | Produced from master data by a person. | Drafted from the record with each value's source shown; a person approves. |
| Due times | Suspense dates someone sets. | Set automatically per request type, paused while waiting on others. |
| System of record | Yes. Policies, documents and activity history. | No. It reads from your AMS and writes back where a connection allows. |
| Connections today | Native. | Microsoft 365 today; AMS360 in build; others planned. |

Questions.
Do we have to change AMS?+
No. Shlix IBS works alongside the AMS you use.
Is the AMS connection live?+
Microsoft 365 is live. AMS360 is in build. Until a connection exists, drafting uses a record the agency supplies.
